Ref Title: Liverpool Post 27/2/1893Ref Note: Thomas Ainsworth master of flat ALBERT, Liverpool Steaming Co. was reported at Landing stage that at 6.00pm on saturday evening the flat was sunk 300 yds south of the Devils Buoy after a collision with the SS EASTHAM. The flat was light heading for Princes Dock. All hands saved by flats own boat but the mens effects lost.

Ref Title: LL Feb 27th 1893Ref Note: Liverpool Feb 25th. A collision took place this evening between the flat ALBERT and the Steamer EASTHAM outward bound. The former sinking 300 yrds south of the Devils Buoy in Garston Channel. The crew escaped in their own boat. The steamer proceeding apparently undamaged.
