Ref Title: LMRSRef Note: Sailed from Brunswick Dock at 07.00 bound for Nassau, Kingston, Belize, and Mexico with a General Cargo, much of it heavy machinery. Ran aground on Pluckington Bank. Several badly damaged plates. Tugs refloated her but sudden influx of water required hasty grounding on bank and subsequently broke her back following a period of stormy weather. Ref Title: LL 30th Oct 1933Ref Note: SS ARCHITECT outbound for Tampico on October 28th grounded at 7.00am about 1,000 ft from dock wall after leaving Brunswick Dock. Four tugs failed to float the vessel laden with Machinery and other heavy cargo. Vessel refloated at high water last night 29th with assistance of six tugs, but vessel making water badly into No. 3 hold, the boiler room and engine room. The vessel was put aground again opposite the Old Coberg Dock entrance where she broke her back at 10.00pm. She broke amidships about 300 yds from the quay wall with her stern resting on one sand bank and her bow resting on another.
