Ref Title: LL 7/1/1943Ref Note: Steam barge ANGLIA was wrecked alongside wreck of the SS PEGU off Formby on Nov 7th at low water when a heavy swell and pitch motion caused her bow to touch an obstruction and she became leaky. Three hours later on flood tide weather worsened and mooring on ANGLIA became adrift and vessel dropped into deep water and sank. She is now a total wreck.
